Surviving Agoraphobia
A fear to overcome

Welcome
Let's Talk About Mental Health
Hello everyone! This is a personal blog on my experiences with agoraphobia for you to explore. Surviving with Agoraphobia is honestly one of the hardest things I ever had to do. However, I love having the opportunity to share my stories and hopefully connect with all of my readers. Read on, and enjoy.

About Me
My name is Rachael and I am 24 years old. Agoraphobia is something I have been struggling with for over three years but was never able to put a name to explain what I was feeling/going through up until December of 2020. I have been somewhat homebound for quiet some time and I say somewhat because I could only go about 1 mile away from my house. If I were to travel longer than that, my agoraphobia would automatically kick in. Sometimes I would even make excuses why I couldn’t leave the house because just the thought of leaving would freak me out.
I realized that not a lot of people understand what agoraphobia is or what it feels like. It was always hard trying to explain to my family and friends what I was going through which is why I started this blog. Even those that do know me would never have guessed I was suffering. “Surviving Agoraphobia” is a place I can share my experiences and hopefully connect with those that have went or are going through the same thing as me. I don’t know anyone personally with agoraphobia so I am hoping to interact with those that do. My mission is to bring awareness to those around me and create a safe place for people to share their own raw stories.
Take some time to explore the blog, read my stories, and share your own.
